I saw an advertisement for Idea Cellular yesterday where a housewife bargains for a special variety of fish in the market . The vendor quotes Rs 120 and she agrees to pay only Rs 100 .  Before the vendor could insist on his price , the lady asks for his cell phone number and when he gives it , she immediately transfers Rs 100 to his credit and asks him if he got a message confirming the transfer . He  confirms the credit grudgingly .

What an amazing way to brand the ‘” value added  ” feature on the network to the common middle class in India . The impact of this advertisement is fantastic –

The meshing of e-commerce facility provided by the technology  with a common market situation in India has been captured with great imagination in this advertisement .
