19th December 2010 will go down in the annals of Cricketing History as a very special milestone – a record very difficult for any one to surpass – The 50th Century in Test Cricket by Sachin Tendulkar in his 21st year of cricketing career – on his late father’s birthday and dedicated to his memory . This century with an unbeaten 111 runs is a great peace of performance against some of the best bowling in the world from the South African team at Centurion , SA , when Indian Team was fighting a rear guard action with their back to the wall . The fact that India still lost the match with an Innings defeat does not in any way make the extra ordinary feat by Sachin Tendulkar – the greatest cricket player the world has ever produced .
Many records have been broken by Tendulkar in his journey and he never played for records but still enjoys ” Playing the Game in the true spirit of the Game !! ” . A great role model and a mentor to the young Indian cricket players and to every one globally to follow . We wish him many more glorious cricketing moments in the future as well.
