We decided to spend the last two weeks of December 09 and the first week of Jan 10 in our newly refurbished house at Chandranagar,Palakkad,Kerala . Away from the mad crowd and chaotic traffic of Hyderabad and all the pollution accompanying , it turned to be a wise decision in many ways . More than the morning walks , clean air and mild chill in the morning , what we enjoyed most was the friendly service all around whether it is the neighbourhood grocer or the staff at the society help desk . Incidentally, our house is part of the very first private co-operative house building society in the state of Kerala .The society is more than 50 years old now with more than 400 dwelling units in three phases .
We planned to carry out some additional work related to storage space and also get some electrical and plumbing work done during our stay. I called the society help desk and here comes Mr Girish Kumar with his three young workmen , ever smiling and ready to oblige. The team members are multi-skilled – they can do electrical fittings , carpentry work and plumbing with ease and finesse , procure material from the market and leaves a mark of high quality everywhere . I found the ground level sump not drawing enough water and one of them readily cleans the float and gets it going . You name a task and they are ever ready to handle it. Mr Girish is a great coach and mentor to them and the team draws great inspiration from him. All the members are self motivated and shows a passion for excellence. A truly high performing team!!
