External stimuli can help one reach the realms of exceptional competence . We have good examples in the field of sports and games . A good coach with a friendly disposition can bring up a mediocre team to perform at levels never thought possible before . In the corporate world , we have many icons who could lift their organizations from pedestrian and ordinary performance to greatness for posterity . Jack Welch of GE , Steve Jobs of Apple are good examples here .
But above all , inspiration essentially is internal to all . To a genius it manifests unknowingly to him when he experiences a ” flow ” . This manifestation of unconscious competence residing latent in oneself is real Inspiration.
