We are one of the largest practicing democracy in the world but of late the edifice built over 64 years since independence has developed some serious cracks ! .

The growing animosity between politicians and bureaucrats as demonstrated this week  in Andhra Pradesh  when the IAS body revolted against the arrest by CBI of two of their senior colleagues on corruption charges , the silly but serious dispute over the date of birth of the serving Army Chief  in the public domain , the infamous 2 G scam , the inordinate delays on bringing departmental proceedings against corrupt ministers and public servants to a closure , the tarnished image of the police among the public , the uninterrupted flow of black money in and out of the country all point to the widening trust gap in the country’s system of governance .

Where policies are present , execution is found wanting .What we observe generally is that almost every one is part of the problem and no one is part of any possible solution. Can we sincerely hope that the next general election in 2014 will usher a change to this state of anarchy in our country ?
