Last Sunday , we were all in down town Princeton  at RED :GREEN : BLUE for a birthday party for my grand daughter . 12 of her friends – age group 5 to 8 were invited . The mid day function started at 12 noon with an hour long activity session where the children were given paper blanks to color as they felt and thereafter they had paper and colors to create designs . Two young girls guided them and motivated the participants to do well and cheered them all the way . The session ended with all participants recording their greetings for the birthday girl in a journal and of course the cake cutting ceremony followed by pizza lunch .

We really liked the format  and the creative spirit kindled in all the children during the one hour session . They were in a different world altogether and enjoyed every moment of the session . What a contrast to some of the brash and loud parties for children we attended back home in India !! .

We really appreciated the selection of the venue and the format and thanked our daughter and son in law for the novel idea .
